Need a change of scenery ? We suggest you to come relax in the mountains, in the heart of a protected site, full of history and legends. |
Gallop in Alsatians Forests, escape for a weekend and meet up in the evening, with family or friends in our cottage with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Region of choice for horse riders and nature, the field "Champ du Feu" is located on the Alsatian side of the Vosges. Ranked "zone Natura 2000", you will be delighted with its landscapes that combine the bright colors of stubble and the dark green pine forests, the roundness of its mountains and gentle valleys, magnificent waterfalls and abundant and varied wildlife. The area is also loaded with stories and legends, has many vestiges: medieval castles, ancient churches, walls dating back to the pagan age... 2 itineraries are possible: one for beginners and one for advanced riders. |

Day 1
Meeting at 9am. After an introduction to the centre and the team, we go to the stables where we can choose our mount from among the thoroughbred horses. We set off for our first ride through the forest, where large galloping tracks await us. We stop at a viewpoint overlooking the entire Val de Villé. Lunch at the riding centre. In the afternoon, we ride over the Haut Lachamp and Bas Lachamp plateaux, offering a wide panorama. We pass through typical little villages before reaching the Col de la Perheux. We then gallop up to Mont St Jean, where the view is 360°! Dinner and overnight at the riding centre.
Day 2
After breakfast, we set off for a full day's riding. We head for the Hohwald waterfall, one of the most beautiful in Alsace. We'll have a picnic lunch in the countryside, then head back to the riding centre along the lovely undergrowth paths, where we'll have plenty of gallops ahead of us. The tour ends at around 6 - 6.30pm.
Day 2
Today, we'll be exploring the riding centre's varied terrain to help you get used to the various difficulties we'll encounter outdoors: ditches, low branches, bridges, etc. We ride near Princess Emma's Rock, a huge granit boulder, before returning to the riding centre for lunch. In the afternoon, another ride to ‘la Chaume des veaux’, where we stop briefly to admire the magnificent view over the whole of the Val de Villé.
The tour ends at around 6pm.
