The department of Corrèze is located in the region of Limousin and is the ideal place for beautiful horse rides in the middle of a preserved nature. |
This region is full of singular and preserved natural sites. You will ride between rivers and falls, through bogs and forests, and a thousand of paths running across millennial landscapes... This is idyllic scenery to get initiated to western riding or for an itinerant riding tour in full nature if you are an advanced rider. |
Day 1 - Welcome
You will arrive between 6.30pm and 8pm at the eqestrian farm, where you will have some time to settle down in your room and have a first look of our equestrian farm and its environment before a homemade dinner.
Day 2 - Introduction to ethological and western riding approach
We will start our stay with a day of introduction to our approach of ethology and western riding. The morning will take place between talks and practical ethology workshop with school horse herd observation ! The specific ethological optics constituting the framework of the interactions with our horses on foot as well as in the saddle, will be presented to you with passion by Laetitia, who will then accompany you for the creation of the rider-horse couples.
We will continue with the preparation and the western equipment of the horses, following by a sequence in career. Thus, we will allow the necessary time for you to familiarize with our approach to western ethological riding and the specific technique associated with it, and for you to bond with your horse before the outdoor rides. (A short ride may be possible to end the day).
Day 3 - Massif des Monédières
After returning to our horses and revised according to the needs the learning of the day before, we will leave at the rhythm of the horses and riders riding at the heart of the Massif des Monédières, to discover even more the natural environment of this territory : the blueberry and heather landes and the holly beechwood. From one small valley to the other, we will ride to an orientation table from where we will be able to see further than the Millevaches plateau, the Cantal mounts and the Massif od Sancy ! Our progression will lead us through the magnificent Landes of the Natura 2000 zone of the Monédières and the majestic beechwoods... Back at the equestrian farm, we will, one last time, take care of our horses, then it will be time to say "goodbye".
It's possible to stay an extra night on site (extra night and/or dinner to be booked preferably when registering).
(*: The itinerary can be adjusted. The activity of the day 3 can be a day of riding with picnic or two lopps with lunch at the equestrian farm)
