Charming weekend on horseback with Castle accommodation - Randocheval - Ride in France

Program suggestion :

A unique and natural environment, unspoiled and largely unchanged from historical times. Experience the traditional bourbonnaise countryside in its true sense - the characteristic bocage, herds of Charollais cattle, flocks of sheep, horses, and, of course, the friendliness of the bourbonnaise people themselves. A private estate of 100 acres containing cool woods, green pastures and a pond, all carefully maintained with the well-being of the guests in mind. Walking paths wind through wood and field, while the pond provides fish for the angler and a row boat for the boater. Peace and tranquility are a priority at the Castle.

The double French doors of the entrance open to a large foyer which provides access to the different reception rooms on this floor. The style is predominantly Directoire, as evidenced by the ornate golden coloured wood paneling, the mahogany paneling, and the monumental original chandelier. The Grand and the Middle salons are furnished with your comfort in mind. The comfortable seating and pleasant music provide a perfect setting for enjoying aperitifs and refreshments. The mahogany-paneled library, containing books and parlor games, opens onto the grounds via large, floor-to-ceiling windows.

Day 1
Meeting point directly at the castle in the afternoon. We can get installed in our bedroom at 3pm. We enjoy the wonderful castle’s facilities: warm outdoor swimming pool (in summer time), a ride in the 40 hectares park, VTT. Dinner: a "market return menu" and night in the castle.

Day 2
After breakfast, go to the magnificent stables. The equestrian program is "à la carte" (to choose during your registration). The instructor offers training sessions (dressage or jumping), to perfect your riding abilities or for a re-saddle. If you wish, small walks around the castle can be proposed. You can manage your stay depending on what you prefer (choice of disciplines, choice of the distribution of lessons, choice of duration ...). Lunch at the castle (starter + main course or main course + dessert) is included as well as dinner in "market return menu". Night at the castle.

Day 3
Your morning will be organized according to your program of the day before and your program choices. We leave our bedroom at midday and have our last lunch in the castle’s restaurant.

Furthermore, this restaurant is referenced in several guidebooks; such as the Gault and Millau, the Bottin Gourmand, the Guide Champérard, or even, the Routard for the high quality dishes. Our menu is elaborated depending on the season and the products available in the market. We favor the vegetable from our garden, the Charolais meat and the cheeses from the farm.

The breakfast is a hearty buffet. For lunch, we have a "rider" menu (starter and main course or main course and dessert). For dinner, you will have a high quality menu with a starter, a main course and a dessert.

Three hours driving from Paris, this sumptuous castle allows us to discover the charm of the Bourbonnais countryside in the middle of an exceptional historical heritage.

Riding guest reviews

"We had a great stay my family and I. My husband and my daughter (16 months) can enjoy beautiful surroundings. For my part, I can enjoy two lessons with a very pedagog teacher, Jean-Patrick, and a pleasant horse ride with good paces. Jean-Patrick et his horses know how to give me more confident and adjust his instruction. I recommand this stay to all people who expect a equestrian escape without sacrifing their confort" Amandine H-C (may 2018)

"We appreciated the riding lessons for the quality of the explanations and the very good atmosphere. The whole team is very nice and willing to help." - Isabelle G. (2012)
