The first day, the meeting point is planned at 8:30 am. After a presentation of the site, the itinerary and the group, we will meet our horses and prepare them to get into the saddle. On the last day of your stay, the riders will be able to leave at 6:30 pm or 7 pm.
Each day, we leave on a different loop among the different circuits presented below to discover the lakes of this region or its history.
Our different itineraries
This morning, we ride through the forest in order to reach the lake of Pannecière. It's the biggest lake of Morvan with a superficy of 5.2 km². It's also a part of the Grands Lacs de Seine. It was built to limit the floods of the Seine and its tributaries. We will have our picnic break by the lake. We will take the opportunity to relax as well as to swim with the horses depending on the weather, the seasin, the level of the lake... and the horses desire ! We will return to the domain in late afternoon.
About 25km
Today, we are going to discover Notre Dame de Grâce, also called the Chapelle du Frêne, which dates from the 11th century. High place of Morvan, this chapel as well as its 3 fountains with virtues of cure were for a long time the object of pilgrimages and rites both pagan and christian. During this loop, we will have to face importants unevenness : it could happens to put foot on the ground in order to be easier for the horses. We will return to the domain in late afternoon.
About 30km
After a good breakfast, we will leave towards the gallo-romain theater of Bardiaux. This place was a step on a busy road, la via rustica, linking Autun to Entrains. Its capacity should be about 600 to 700 people. It was one of the rare rural facilities. We could take a break on the site to discover a bit more these remains. We will return to the domain in late afternoon.

Recommended riding ability
To join this trail, you have to be comfortable at the three gaits in open spaces, and to have a good physical condition to be able to spend 5 hours in the saddle everyday.
Occasionnally, you will have to walk next to your horse as the paths can be quite steep.
Good to know
The helmet is compulsory for everyone. They can be lend to you on the spot but we recommand you have your own.
Accompanied children are allowed from 12 years old if they are good riders.

Meals
Breakfasts will be served around the table of the bed and breakfast and will be composed of coffee, tea, chocolate or fruit juice for the drinks and cakes, brioche, butter, jam, yogurt and fruits.
Lunches are planned in the form of picnics carried in the morning in the saddlebags. They will be composed of bread, local meats, hard-boiled eggs, chips, cheese, fruits or compotes and water |
Dinner are planned around the table of the bed and breakfast and will be composed of a hearty aperitif, a main plate and a dessert. Dinner will be accompanied with water or wine (within reasonable limits) and coffee, tea or herbal tea for the dessert.

Arrival airport / train station:
Meeting at the riding centre at 8:30 am. Departure the last day from 06:30 am - 07:00 am.
No transfer from the train station. However, if you take the train to Nevers then a bus to Château Chinon, our guides can take you at the bus stop for 10€ per ride for the car.
Additional nights possible before or after the ride (about 65€ the single room or 75€ the double room + 20€ / person for diner).
